Unofficial CyanogenMOD 10.1 for Huawei U9508 / G615.
At this stage we are including a lot from Huawei, like kernel and HAL. The aim is to rewrite part of the code to make the ROM closer to AOSP standards, including the less binaries from Huawei that we can.
Please use TWRP to install as chinese geno recovery is old and buggy so it won’t be supported.
This rom must be installed with a custom recovery and requires an unlocked bootloader.
What is working:
- rild (proprietary) [xmm6260]
- wifi
- 3D acceleration (proprietary HW composer and surfaceflinger)
- gps (proprietary) + SpeedFIX(port from galaxy Note)
- sensors (proprietary) [akm8963, etc]
- USB-tethering
- lights (coded)
- audio policy and playback (proprietary, that means the whole mediaserver from HUAWEI is included into the build)
- camera (proprietary+skia patch)
- mobile signal detection (coded rilclass)
- mass storage (init.k3v2oem1.usb.rc)
- bluetooth
- battery stats
- HD Video
What is NOT working:
- FM radio (MINOR)
- camera app forceclose but any other camera is ok (CRITICAL)
- long time booting (MINOR)
- LED notification needs adjustments (MAJOR)
- 2G signal strength (MAJOR)

just a question. I’d like to increase the internal space with a microSD of 32Gb (partitioning into ext4) that I already use without partitions. I tried to install the S2E app but it isn’t compatible with our device. Have you got any suggestions?

Can you be more precise? you cannot use the sd just as ext4 as for mtp you need a fat32 partition on android 4.2. If you need more space for apps (increase data partition with ext4 filesystem) that shouldn’t be a problem, just try a different app…

well about the camera I can tell you that there are for sure some good camera app on google play, try a deeper search…
For what concern the update, we are all waiting something from huawei… maybe it will come after summer (september – october)
Mangusta. I thank you for all of your workd. I have bought by g615 back in february last year and eversince day 2 it was unlocked and as soon as i found out about your fist rom i used it – and all of its reincarnations.
Your CM10 port is superb, actually less buggy than Kholks work and i appreciate all the hard work you, and many others have put into it.
Fortunately my g615 died yesterday and i am no longer depending custom roms which have an extremely better quality than any stock rom.
Of course i didnt buy another Huawei phone. As much as i liked the hardware and the quality of it – i hated the software provided by huawei.
So.. just wanted to say thank you for the constant provision of roms which really made that phone usable and i hope you will continue your work for people unfortnate enough to stick with that phone.
You did a great job and were the only reason i didnt ditched the phone already months ago. No other rom modder was ever that important (to me) to keep a phone alive. Might be its jiust the vast difference between the quality of your roms and the (dis)quality of Huawei’s stock roms, but still… That was a great job you did.
I would recommend the Open Camera app, found at f-droid.com.
It will take some time, especially the first time you run it, to check your camera hardware, but after that it’s a blast.

Hi mangusta! I read that Sailfish OS released an hardware adaptation dev kit (HADK) with which you can port that OS on any android device. Only requirment that seems to be is a CM 10.1.x port for that device. Look this:
